Rebellion Festival Sells Out as It Celebrates 30 Years of Punk

Rebellion Festival, the world's largest annual punk festival, has completely sold out more than six months before its return to Blackpool's Winter Gardens from 6–9 August. The milestone event marks both the festival's 30th anniversary and 50 years of punk rock.

This year's line-up features legendary acts including The Stranglers, Cock Sparrer, Stiff Little Fingers, Sham 69, Buzzcocks, Skids, UK Subs, Discharge, GBH, The Dickies, and many more, alongside a new generation of punk artists.

To extend the celebrations, Rebellion has announced special "Run Up" shows before the festival. On 4 August, Adam Ant will headline a special concert joined by The Undertones and Altered Images. The following evening features a ska showcase led by Neville Staple of The Specials.

Additional daytime acoustic performances at Viva Blackpool will include Tom Robinson, The Wildhearts, The Skids, Charlie Harper, TV Smith, and other special guests.

Festival organiser Jennie Russell-Smith described the early sell-out as "wonderful, exciting and a bit scary," adding that punk continues to thrive thanks to both legendary bands and emerging talent.
